Everybody has pet peeves, but I have been told that mine are especially "nerdy" and somewhat "extreme". In fact, I actually have nightmares about these things - they are legitimately very disturbing to me.
So, are my pet peeves Rational or Excessively nerdy? You decide.
When people who call themselves "Trekkies" do the Vulcan Salute wrong.
When doing the Vulcan salute, the thumb is out, not against your hand. Not only have we seen it so, but Leonard Nimoy specifically pointed this out numerous times. When the thumb is against your hand, it is not the Vulcan salute - It is “Nanu nanu”, the Orkan greeting. The worst, however, is when people try doing it with their thumb in and their palm facing them.

| Not cool, so called "trekkie" girl. I am not impressed. |
I have actually had nightmares about this - I walked into my room to see all of my comics out of their protective covers, and when I looked around the corner I saw a girl sitting there - reading my comics and eating cheesies... getting oil all over every page. Because of this, I actually have a sign on my boxes of comics:

| Because I am just that cool. Right? Right? |
It has become impossible to look through google images or web sites without coming across pictures or stories about Spock and Kirk being... intimately involved. I respect these characters a great deal and actually feel quite protective over them, and I find these pictures and stories highly illogical and disturbing - not because they are gay/in love, but because it is them in particular. It seems to have gotten worse since the 2009 Star Trek movie...
It would take me weeks to go through all of my pet peeves, so I am going to spot here - these three are the most... peevy. And in some cases, pervy.
Do you have any "nerdy" pet peeves? If so, comment below!
